The South-East European Forum (28-30 March 2012, Sofia, Bulgaria) will outline good business opportunities in this part of Europe and promote best environmental practices, the implementation of which will decarbonise the local economy. The event includes in its format a Congress and Exhibition on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EE & RES), SEE Solar Exhibition and "Save the Planet".

The event format is enriched by many parallel initiatives: a Workshop "Italian Integrated Waste Management Experience", organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria; Round Table with municipality representatives; Best Eco Municipality Competition in 3 categories - EE, RES and waste management, a Workshop "Austrian experience in EE implementation in industry - results".
The Exhibitions
Over 50 % of the area is covered by foreign exhibitors from Austria, Belgium, China, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Greece, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, etc. The exhibitors working in the entire spectrum of renewables and waste management will be able to create close ties with new partners - over 7 000 professionals are expected to visit the event. Austria is a focus country of "Save the Planet" and the Austrian know-how will be presented at the Austrian Pavilion. The countrys waste industry is regarded as one of the best in the world and the sector generates an annual turnover of over EUR 4 billion.
