SAMOTER 2008: The IMER GROUP combines simplicity and innovation on the oru oneday plant

The IMER Group of Poggibonsi, in the province of Siena (a European leader in the production of construction machinery, machinery and plants for the production, transport and laying of concrete and specialised in the field of earthmoving machinery), has chosen SAMOTER 2008 to highlight the ease of transport, flexibility in use and innovation embodied in the ORU ONEDAY mobile plant. This product has been further enhanced by the possibility of having a new PLUG & PLAY system, which allows immediate starting of the plant as soon as it is assembled. During this prestigious international fair (organised in Verona from March 5th to 9th 2008), the IMER Group's Concrete Division will also showcase other products it supplies, such as the BOOMIX line of truck mixer pumps and the X-DRIVE 115 truck mixer without sub-frame.

The IMER Group ORU ONEDAY mobile plant is a compact, rugged solution that is simple to install, developed by the Concrete Machinery Division to meet all site requirements in terms of time, space and handling. To better highlight its ease of use and huge adaptability to specific site requirements, this plant is on view at SAMOTER 2008 in its transport configuration. This is to make it possible to easily and immediately understand how it can really be transported on a standard lowered truck deck. The wholly pre-wired structure of the ORU ONEDAY mobile plant allows passing immediately from transport to operating configuration, dramatically axing down times. In addition to ease of transport and assembly, this model also features the use of innovative solutions capable of boosting site work productivity. With the optional PLUG & PLAY system developed by the IMER Group, it is possible to connect the dust removing system, screw feeders, level indicator and any washing pump to the control board in no time. This solution has been developed by the IMER Group to reduce machine assembly, wiring and set-up times at the site and optimise the working process.

The heart of the IMER Group's ORU ONEDAY plant is the mixing unit with the ORU MS planetary mixer (with a loading capacity of 2250 litres and a vibrated output of 1500 litres), which can mix various classes of top quality concrete. Through a continuous process control, it is possible to warrant the utmost efficiency and obtain a product that fully meets the customer's requirements. In addition, operation of the skip is extremely safe, owing to the installation of a series of electric and mechanical limit switches and stopper systems. In order to warrant extreme batching accuracy, the aggregates are "sprinkled" by the storage hoppers through hatches with pneumatic opening. The water and cement weighing system has certified loading chambers. The IMER Group ORU ONEDAY has aggregate storage hoppers (made of fretted sheet metal) that are hot galvanised to ensure that the plant remains unaltered over time and is protected against corrosive agents.

The IMER Group Concrete Machinery Division is taking more of its spearhead products to SAMOTER 2008, like the X-DRIVE 115 truck mixer without sub-frame and the BOOMIX line of truck mixer pumps. Considerably lighter than conventional truck mixers owing to the use of IMER WEAR special steel, the X-DRIVE 115 truck mixer is distinguished by its innovative assembly system without sub-frame, through which it is possible to improve the travelling geometry of the vehicle. This solution, designed to warrant the utmost safety during concrete processing operations, is also characterised by its large capacity (it can transport up to 11 cubic metres in compliance with legal limits) and extreme ease of use, owing to the JOY pushbutton panel. The truck mixers with pump of the BOOMIX line are a perfect combination of strength and lightness and are fitted with mixers with a capacity ranging between 7 and 9 cubic metres and booms that reach a maximum height of 29 metres. Through radio-controlled movement of the distribution boom, the concrete can reach the desired casting point, making the BOOMIX line a versatile and truly flexible solution for site use. The excellent quality of the concrete obtained is also guaranteed by control sensors and specially designed mixing coils. At SAMOTER 2008, on display at the Volvo demo area (in a quarry near the fair), there will also be the IMER Group's LT130IH truck mixer, which has a power takeoff.
