The Grand Prix New Holland Construction 2010 "Built Around You and the Environment"On September 24th and 25th, Torino will be hosting the fourth New Holland Construction Grand Prix. This competition is reserved for earth moving equipment operators and is clearly gathering steam, gaining broader consensus and growing interest.
The event will take place at the Parco Cavalieri di Vittorio Veneto (Piazza d'Armi).
Participants will come from across Europe to test their skills and speed in a spectacular display using the latest models from the New Holland Construction product range. The best operators will be awarded during the gala evening to be held Saturday 25th that the company's top management will also be attending.
The Environment is the central theme for this year, emphasised by the company's "Built Around You and the Environment" statement that testifies to the brand's commitment to reducing environmental impact. AMIAT, the public utility, which has been providing ground sanitation services as well as waste collection and disposal for the City of Torino since 1959, has proven to be an outstanding sponsor.
All kinds of challenges on the environmental theme are awaiting: lifting a pallet of recycled and assembled cardboard, withdrawing and unloading tin containers (provided by Amiat for the occasion) or lifting and repositioning a glass bell in the middle of a target on the ground. Challenges that demonstrate the versatility and the precision of New Holland equipment.
The 2010 Grand Prix will also mark one of the stages of the Test Drive of the brand new Fiat 500 TwinAir, organised by Mirafiori Motor Village for the Open House to be held on September 25th and 26th. The Fiat 500 TwinAir is equipped with the revolutionary 2-cylinder motor which was previewed at the Geneva Show and earned this model in the 500 series, the leading position as the petrol-driven automobile with the lowest level of CO2 emissions ever.
A major event, a new demonstration of how protection of the environment is an essential element of the Fiat Group's worldwide strategy. 17/09/2010 |
